TimeDecay Cloud System

Statutory Data Eviction & Ephemeral Privacy Instrument

Promulgated under Ephemeral Data Governance • Version 2.1

BE IT KNOWN AND DECREED by all visitors, account holders, and participants using TimeDecay, that this service operates under the principle of scheduled expiration. The core purpose of this platform is not the permanent storage of digital files and notes, but their automatic, scheduled removal once their chosen lifespan ends.

By using, uploading to, or interacting with this platform, you agree to the data practices, expiration rules, and limitations described in this policy.

ARTICLE I. THE PRINCIPLE OF TRANSIENCE (DATA INGESTION & STORAGE)

Section 1.1 — Ephemeral Files & Personal Notes. Files and personal notes submitted through the TimeDecay interface are stored within isolated, access-controlled environments. Unless explicitly retained by an authorized account holder where supported, uploaded files and notes remain active solely for the duration selected at creation.

Section 1.2 — Operational Records & Temporary Share Links. To administer storage limits and temporary file sharing, the service records basic operational attributes—limited to item names, file sizes, account storage allowances, optional view limits on shared links, and scheduled expiration times. Each temporary item is governed by an automated expiration schedule.

Section 1.3 — Account Access, Quick PIN & Identity Protection. You can access your account using your email, mobile phone, or a Quick Sign-In PIN. We protect your PIN with strong cryptographic safeguards so nobody can read it. To prevent unauthorized guessing, entering an incorrect PIN repeatedly triggers an automatic 15-minute sign-in lockout across all devices. One-time verification codes sent to your phone or email expire automatically within minutes. We do not sell your personal details, build commercial advertising profiles, or track your browsing across other sites.

ARTICLE II. IRREVOCABLE EXPIRATION PROTOCOLS

Section 2.1 — Automated Expiration & Permanent Deletion. Once an item reaches its scheduled expiration time, it is marked as expired and permanently removed by automated cleanup processes along with its associated storage listing.

STATUTE OF ABSOLUTE EXPIRATION: ONCE AN ITEM EXPIRES, RESTORATION IS IMPOSSIBLE. NO BACKUP ARCHIVE, RECOVERY SERVICE, OR RETRIEVAL MECHANISM EXISTS OR SHALL EVER BE PROVIDED BY THE OPERATORS.

Section 2.2 — Disclaimer of Archival Duty. The operator expressly disclaims all duties of custody, escrow, or permanent safekeeping. TimeDecay must not be used as a long-term archive for critical, singular, or irreplaceable records.

ARTICLE III. PLATFORM SECURITY, GOVERNANCE LOGS & ABUSE PREVENTION

Section 3.1 — Security Monitoring & Abuse Defense. To protect the service against unauthorized access, automated abuse, and service disruption, protective systems monitor basic security events such as repeated failed sign-in attempts and unusual request volume. This information is used solely to maintain platform stability and security.

Section 3.2 — Administrative & Operational Activity Logs. While expired file and note contents are permanently deleted, the service maintains non-content activity records. These records note administrative and lifecycle events—such as sign-in times, item creation or deletion events, policy updates, and moderation decisions—solely to maintain accountability and platform governance.

Section 3.3 — Standard Network Connection Data. Standard network connection details—such as network addresses and basic browser descriptors—are processed temporarily to route traffic, prevent denial-of-service attacks, and enforce rate limits. These routine connection logs are cycled out regularly and are not used to build personal browsing profiles.

Section 3.4 — Automated Bot Protection. To protect sign-in forms and public features from automated spam without intrusive puzzles, TimeDecay uses Cloudflare Turnstile. This service evaluates basic connection and interaction signals solely to confirm that a visitor is human, in accordance with Cloudflare's Turnstile Privacy Policy, and never for advertising or cross-site tracking.

ARTICLE IV. INTERACTIVE GAMES, LEADERBOARDS & ROLLCALL PRESENCE

Section 4.1 — Game Progress, Leaderboards & Gameplay History. When you play TimeDecay interactive games—such as Sayid Al-Kalima (صايد الكلمة) and Bahrain Pinpoint—your browser saves your current game progress, streak history, and chosen display nickname on your device so you can resume play. If you submit a result to the public leaderboard, we store your chosen display nickname, score, completion time, streak totals, and the guesses or map placements made during that round.

Section 4.2 — Anonymous Word Popularity & Community Map Feedback. To understand general gameplay trends, valid words guessed in word puzzles are counted toward anonymous, overall word popularity totals that are not linked to any player. Additionally, if you voluntarily submit a map correction or feedback report in Bahrain Pinpoint, we record your remarks, suggested location, and basic connection details solely to review the suggestion and prevent spam.

Section 4.3 — Fair Play Review & Leaderboard Moderation. To keep public leaderboards fair, game moderators may review submitted round guesses and completion times. Submissions showing clear signs of unfair play may be flagged, removed from all-time Hall of Fame rankings, and listed in the daily flagged section (قائمة الغشاشين) on the leaderboard.

Section 4.4 — Rollcall Gatherings, QR Attendance & Identity Privacy. For participants who use Rollcall to organize gatherings and track attendance, we operate under clear, privacy-first rules:

• Confirming Attendance: When you check in to an in-person gathering, your device shares a single location reading solely to confirm you are at the venue. For virtual or location-free meetups, location is never checked.
• Rotating QR Code Scanning: You can also confirm physical presence by scanning a quick 5-second rotating QR code shown by someone already verified at the gathering. Your camera only reads the code on your device—we never record, stream, or store any camera video.
• Email Privacy: Other circle members and organizers never see your real email address; it is always masked or hidden from view. Only global platform administrators can view account emails.
• Name Visibility: Other people can only see your display name if they share the same circle with you or if you join a public circle. In all other cases, you remain anonymous.
• Community Review: Circle members can flag or dispute suspicious check-ins to help the group verify honest attendance without centralized surveillance.

ARTICLE V. COMPLIANCE WITH LAW & STATUTORY PRESERVATION

Section 5.1 — Impossibility of Post-Expiration Recovery. While the operators respect lawful authority and valid legal process, compliance is bound by practical reality: we cannot produce, reconstruct, or disclose content that has already expired and been permanently deleted.

Section 5.2 — Lawful Preservation Prior to Expiration. Where required by applicable law or binding legal order properly served upon the operator prior to an item's scheduled expiration, automated deletion may be temporarily paused for the specifically identified active record for the legally required period. Without such prior legal notice, all expiring content proceeds automatically to permanent deletion.
